Heroin

Heroin, be the death of me
Heroin, it's my wife and it's my life
Because a mainer to my vein
Leads to a center in my head
And then I'm better off and dead
Because when the smack begins to flow
I really don't care anymore
About all the Jim-Jim's in this town
And all the politicians makin' crazy sounds
And everybody puttin' everybody else down
And all the dead bodies piled up in mounds

Ben Howard

Where you been hiding lately, where you been hiding from the news?
Because we've been fighting lately, we've been fighting with the wolves.
With the wolves.
Red tongues and hands.

We lost faith, in the arms of love.

Shadow Catchers Exhibition

Two weeks ago I attended the 'Shadow Catchers Exhibition' at the Victoria & Albert Museum in order to do some research for my first project at uni, inspired by shadows and silhouettes.

There I had the pleasure of discover the amazing work of of five international contemporary artists - Floris Neusüss, Pierre Cordier, Susan Derges, Garry Fabian Miller and Adam Fuss - who work without a camera. Instead, they create images on photographic paper by casting shadows and manipulating light, or by chemically treating the surface of the paper.

I truly recommend that exhibition to anyone who loves photography. It's just 4 pounds If you have an student card!

(The first two pictures are by the Artist Adam Fuss and the last ones are by Floris Neusüss, my favorite)
